The Aces are one game away from winning their first title after defeating the Sun 85-71

Las Vegas- Aja Wilson, Chelsea Gray, and Kelsey Plum all scored in double figures in a victory over the Sun.


After a grind it out victory on Sunday, Las Vegas knew that they wanted to get out to a quick start in Game 2 and that is what they did. Kelsey Plum, Aja Wilson, and Chelsea Gray all hit shots in the first quarter, With the lead, the Aces picked up their intensity, diving after loose balls and was active in the passing lanes, grabbing three steals in the quarter. Las Vegas finished the quarter on a 9-1 run.


Attack, attack, and attack was the theme for the Aces for the rest of the half. Wilson was attacking the middle of the paint and was scoring at will, Plum was slashing and getting to the bucket with ease, and Gray was just on fire with putting her teammates in position to score. The way the Aces were scoring you would think they was blowing out the Sun, but the Sun fought back and cut Las Vegas' lead to eight at the break, 45-37.


Things were looking okay until Gray rolled her ankle, attempting to drive to the lane midway in the third quarter. Gray went to the locker room and came back out a few minutes later. Even without Gray in the lineup for those five minutes, the Aces kept hitting shots and extend their lead to double figures. The fourth quarter was more so of a cruising 10 minutes for the Aces after building a 20-point lead. Las Vegas went on to win Game 2, which meant they were one more game away from securing their first title in franchise history.


Gray finished with 21 points

Plum Finished with 20 points and 7 assists

Wilson finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds
