The No. 6 LSU Tigers rolled past the No. 13 Oklahoma Cowboys 91-72 on Sunday as Flau'jae Johnson scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Jada Richard added 21 points for the Tigers, who knocked off the Sooners after beating the then-No. 2 Texas last Sunday. Among the nation's top ten scoring offenses, LSU boasts nearly 100 points a game. Despite Oklahoma having a scoring average of nearly 91 points per game, LSU was too much for Oklahoma. LSU outscored Oklahoma 29-8 at the free throw line, and two Sooners were fouled out.

Despite selling out the Lloyd Noble Center, home fans began leaving midway through the fourth quarter as Oklahoma lost their third consecutive game. Despite climbing to No. 5 in the AP Top 25, the team has lost consecutive games to Ole Miss, Kentucky, and LSU.

It was a tough night for Oklahoma star freshman Aaliyah Chavez, who scored 11 points on 3-of-14 shooting. She entered the day averaging 19.2 points. It was a 21-point effort from Payton Verhulst, followed by a 10-point and 11-rebound performance from Raegan Beers.

Johnson's impressive double-double performance played a crucial role in LSU's victory, showcasing her dominance on both ends of the court. Jada Richard's 21 points added significant firepower to the Tigers' offense, helping them maintain their high-scoring reputation. The team's ability to capitalize on free throw opportunities, outscoring Oklahoma 29-8 from the line, further emphasized their well-rounded and disciplined game.
