The 35th Stellar Gospel Music Awards will anoint viewers virtually August 23 on BET Networks

Los Angles- The 35th Stellar Gospel Music Awards will be held virtually this year on August 23, 6 pm E.T. and will be aired on Bet Networks.

Despite the pandemic, The Stellar Gospel Music Awards will be moving forward with virtual performances, encouraging words, and giving fans something to be excited about. Kirk Franklin, who will be Co-hosting the awards was pretty excited to host the awards, as well as shine light on the first responders, who have been heroes during the pandemic. "I am excited to be apart of this and I think this is what the world needs right now, said Franklin."

Outside of all the excitement about the show, the nominees this year are some of the top artists in the gospel industry. The top nominees are Donald Lawrence Presents the Tri-City Singers with 9 Nominations, Kirk Franklin with 8 Nominations, Tasha Cobbs Leonard with 8 Nominations, J Hairston with 7 Nominations, and Bishop Paul S. Morton with 6 Nominations.

Each of the nominees was grateful to be nominated and wanted to thank their fans for supporting them through their journey, as well as hoped that their songs could have an uplifting impact on people around the globe.
