Terence Crawford ends Spence's undefeated streak in Mega Fight with TKO in ninth round

Leading up to the mega fight of the year between Errol Spence Jr. and Terence "Bud" Crawford, a lot of fans were split between who would win the fight Saturday night. Some fans felt like Spence was the heavy puncher, while Bud was the better boxer. Throughout media week, both fighters were pretty confident that someone was going to get knock down and fans would get their money's worth. All the trash talking was put to rest from both fighters and now it was up to them to put on a historic show.

Crawford started off the first two rounds very slow but picked it up late in the second round as caught Spence with an overhand left that dropped Spence, which shocked him. After the knockdown, Spence decided to attack Crawford's body. Some of his punches kept Crawford at bay, but Crawford finished off the third strong, throwing some jabs and hooks. By the end of the fourth round, Crawford had painted Spence's face with a lot blood that was leaking from a cut.

It was apparent in the later rounds that Crawford's jab was the torture chamber for Spence. Each time Spence tried to attack Crawford's body, Crawford would counter and throw that jab out there. Crawford knockdown Spence Twice in the seventh round and was going for the kill.

Crawford ended up getting the TKO in the ninth round to become the first male to win first four belt unanimous welterweight champion.
