St. Joseph Center 45th annual celebration was a hit

This weekend the St. Joseph Center celebrated 45 years of service as they hosted their 45th Annual Anniversary Celebration at the Petersen Automotive Museum in LA. The St. Joseph Center was founded by two Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet who worked with low-income families and individuals and later expanded their services to homeless women and men by leasing a nearby facility. Since their founding over 40 years ago, St. Joseph center has grown into a multifaceted organization reaching over 12,000 people a year through more than 25 programs throughout LA county. The programs are organized into four pillars of service: Outreach & Engagement, Housing, Mental Health, and Education & Vocational Training.

Upon entry to the gala I was greeted with a choice of champagne and different margaritas, which continued throughout the evening. Guests were able to view the second level museum while enjoying live music and cocktails at the open bar. Outside, the setup was beautiful! There was a huge stage for performances, several cute lounge areas to sit and take photos, a self serve dinner and dessert bar, handmade ice cream and more!

The celebration’s red carpet was studded with stars and philanthropists such as The Temptations, Jimmy Kimmel, Molly McNearney, Mayor Eric Garcetti and Dr. Va Lecia Adams Kellum. Throughout the evening there were auctions taking place for charity, dancing, and a mindblowing performance from one of the most successful singing groups of all time, The Temptations. It was probably the most fun I've had at a charity event so far!
