Indiana had a chance to knock out the Knicks in Game 5, but blew the opportunity as the Knicks grabbed a momentum win to extend the series. Heading into Game 6, the Pacers knew that they would have to get Tyrese Haliburton touches early as he only scored eight points in the previous game. In the first half, the Pacers got back to their true identity and pushed the tempo to a "sonic" pace, which led to 12 fast break points. Haliburton was not much of factor early on, but Pascal Siakam and Obi Toppin was like I got your back and combined for 25 points to go into the locker room with a four-point lead.

Coming out of the break, the Pacers wanted to clamp down on their turnovers; in the previous two quarters, they had eight turnovers. Outside of the turnovers, they wanted to stop the Knicks off the boards. I guess the Pacers had a "nice" talk during halftime, because they came out the gate and went on a 14-4 run. We can talk about the outside shooting that the Pacers brought back home, shooting around 45% from three-point range. However, the Pacers' defense was swarming Jalen Brunson and the Knicks' guards and did not allow them to get into rhythm. Heading into the fourth, the Pacers were in the driver's seat, up 15.

Each time it looked like the Pacers were going in for the knockout, the Knicks would find some way to get back in the game with a driving big Kat or a three from JB. However, the Pacers turned it on late in the fourth and went on to cash out the Knicks in six.
