The Las Vegas Aces are using the spotlight of the 2026 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup to make a lasting impact off the court, announcing the Public Education Foundation (PEF) as the team’s official nonprofit partner for this year’s in-season competition.

The partnership aligns with the WNBA’s 30th anniversary celebration and the Commissioner’s Cup theme, “Our Game, Our Legacy,” which highlights organizations that have helped shape and strengthen communities throughout the league’s markets.

For the Aces, that organization is the Public Education Foundation, a longtime advocate for students, educators and schools across Southern Nevada. Through its partnership with the Clark County School District, PEF has invested millions of dollars into scholarships, teacher development programs and educational resources designed to help students succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

“The Public Education Foundation represents exactly the kind of community-rooted work the Commissioner’s Cup is designed to elevate,” said Aces President and General Manager Nikki Fargas. “PEF touches every corner of Clark County — from scholarships and teacher development to school supplies and books on wheels. We’re proud to shine a light on the incredible impact they make every day.”

PEF’s reach extends across several key initiatives, including Scholarships Plus, which awards nearly $6.9 million annually in college and vocational scholarships to more than 750 students, with more than half of recipients being first-generation college students. The organization also operates Teacher FastTrack, a program that helps paraprofessionals earn teaching credentials and addresses Nevada’s ongoing educator shortage.

In addition, the PEF Teacher Superstore: Classroom in a Box provides educators with free and affordable classroom supplies, while the CCSD Book Bus delivers books directly into neighborhoods throughout the Las Vegas Valley. The foundation also supports educational advancement through programs such as the Black Girl Magic: Juneteenth Jubilee Luncheon, which celebrates Black women leaders and promotes higher education opportunities.

The partnership creates a direct connection between the Aces’ performance on the court and support for local students. During Commissioner’s Cup play, PEF will receive $3,000 for every Las Vegas victory and $1,000 for every loss. Additional funding is available if the Aces advance deep into the tournament, with the Commissioner’s Cup champion’s nonprofit partner receiving an extra $10,000 donation and the runner-up organization earning $5,000.

The 2026 Commissioner’s Cup begins June 2 and features each WNBA team playing conference opponents during a designated two-week window, with games also counting toward the regular-season standings.

The top team from each conference will advance to the Commissioner’s Cup Championship, where players from the winning team will split a $500,000 prize pool.
