New York- Naomi Oska defeated Karolina Muchova in two sets 6-4, 7(7)-6 (3) to advance to the semi-final to play against Amanda Anisimova

If you are an Osaka fan, you are delighted to see her play some phenomenal tennis in this tournament. Prior to the match, a lot of people thought that Osaka would come out victorious if she could win her first serves and not commit too many errors down the stretch. Osaka came out swinging and when I say swinging, she was never to perfect in the first set. Osaka was on one as she had 50 service points, along with a 75% first serve. Things got aa bit tough for Osaka in the second set, because Muchova was surprising Osaka with her slicing backhand. There were a couple of times where Osaka looked a bit flustered but maintained her composure. She finished off the second match and had this to say about her performance.
"It means so much. I'm actually surprised I'm not crying," Osaka said in her on-court interview. "It's been so much hard work that you guys haven't seen, I'm just grateful to my team and happy to be healthy."
Osaka will face Amanda Anisimova on Friday with a chance to return to the US Open Finals.
