Blake Snell delivers s a win for the dodgers

Blake Snell delivered six scoreless innings Sunday as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 4–0, completing a three-game sweep and extending their winning streak to six.

Snell held Pittsburgh to two hits and three walks while striking out six across 94 pitches. The left-hander has now won consecutive starts following a three-month absence caused by elbow surgery. Los Angeles has won all three of his August appearances.

Shohei Ohtani helped manufacture the game’s opening run without recording a hit. After falling behind 0–2, the Dodgers’ leadoff hitter worked an 11-pitch walk, stole second and eventually scored to give Los Angeles a 1–0 advantage in the first inning.

The Dodgers broke the game open in the fourth. Alek Thomas and Hunter Feduccia produced consecutive two-out RBI singles, pushing the lead to 3–0. Thomas, recently recalled after All-Star center fielder Andy Pages suffered a fractured left hand, continued to make the most of his opportunity in the lineup.

Max Muncy added an RBI as Los Angeles finished with four runs on six hits. Freddie Freeman collected two hits, while Mookie Betts and Kyle Tucker each added one.

The Dodgers’ bullpen preserved the shutout with three hitless innings. Edgardo Henriquez struck out two in the seventh, Brock Stewart handled the eighth and Alex Vesia closed the game in the ninth. Together, Dodgers pitchers limited Pittsburgh to two hits and recorded 10 strikeouts.

The victory improved Los Angeles to 80–51 and capped a perfect homestand against the Pirates. It also continued an emphatic response from a team that had struggled with inconsistency earlier in the month.

The Dodgers are off Monday before opening a three-game road series against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday. Tyler Glasnow is scheduled to start after being sidelined since May 6 with back spasms.
