The Orlando Magic closed out their final home game of the regular season on Fan Appreciation Night with a 132-120 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, maintaining control late as they continue to build momentum heading into the postseason.
Coming into Game 80, Orlando emphasized consistency, which carried throughout the night. The Magic established their rhythm early with efficient shot selection and strong ball movement, creating separation while managing Minnesota’s scoring runs. By halftime, Orlando had built a double-digit lead, highlighted by Franz Wagner knocking down a three-pointer to close out the half.
Paolo Banchero remained central to Orlando’s offensive flow. He recorded 13 points in the first half and finished the game just six points shy of becoming one of only nine players in NBA history to total 6,000+ points, 1,900+ rebounds, and 1,200+ assists within their first four seasons.
Wagner, making his return, provided a steady presence and continues to rank among the team’s top scorers. Orlando’s balanced attack helped maintain control even as Minnesota attempted to close the gap.
The Timberwolves were without Anthony Edwards, who is still recovering, but remained competitive throughout. Orlando answered key runs with timely scoring and defensive stops to secure the win.
With the regular season nearing its end, the Magic’s ability to execute and stay composed positions them well heading into postseason play.
