South Carolina transfer MiLaysia Fulwiley led the charge with 22 points, guiding No. 5 LSU to a dominant 117-59 win over Charlotte on Wednesday night. The Tigers, now 4-0, have averaged 114.5 points per game with a 59.5-point margin of victory, coming close to matching the school record for consecutive 100-point games set by the 2022-23 national championship team.
Mikaylah Williams added 18 points, Flau’Jae Johnson scored 16, and Amiya Joiner contributed 15, while Kate Koval, Grace Knox, and ZaKiyah Johnson each chipped in 10. Charlotte’s Princess Anderson led her team with 27 points.
LSU’s bench played a pivotal role, with Fulwiley sparking a 19-2 run after subbing in during the first quarter. She hit five 3-pointers, including a buzzer-beater to end the first half, helping LSU build a commanding 62-17 lead. The Tigers’ stifling defense held Charlotte to just five points in the second quarter, as the 49ers went 0-for-17 from the field.
