Las Vegas Vet helps the Aces force a Game 5

Las Vegas- Chelsea Gray lifts the Aces to a 93-76 victory over the Phoenix Mercury.

In a desperation game that the Aces needed, they wanted to contain Brittney Griner and the fast pace offense of the Mercury. That was nothing but just an imagery of words. The Aces found themselves in a nine-point whole, while one of their starters was in foul trouble. Chelsea Gray found herself on the bench with two fouls in the first quarter.

Slowly, but surely the Aces chipped at the Mercury's lead with the help of Liz Cambage. Cambage got the Aces going on a 12-4 run in the second quarter and got the Aces back in the game. For the first time in the game, the Aces took the lead at the 6:30 mark in the quarter and scratched off one of their goals in the first half. Their goal was was neutralizing Diana Taurasi and they did just that. Taurasi finished the half with nine points and three fouls.

Las Vegas walked into the locker room with 49-46 lead.

After sitting on the bench with two fouls in the first quarter, Gray got hot and was cooking the Mercury on her grill. Inside and out, the Mercury had trouble stopping her in the second half. Gray extended the Aces lead to double digits and never looked back. The Aces fed off of Gray's energy and really started putting together some quality shots that went into the basket.

The Aces went onto to win and force a winner takes all game on Friday.

Gray finished with 22 points.
