Knicks are heading to their first NBA Finals since 1999

For the first time since 1999, the Knicks looked like they were going to head back to an NBA Finals appearance but all they needed to do was take care of business in a potential Game 4 sweep. Prior to the game, Josh Hart was asked about how he was feeling after winning Game 3 and he was all business, saying that they needed to focus to win the next game.


Hart and Karl Anthony Towns set the tone early on. Despite, Donavan Mitchell getting to his spots early, Towns and Hart kept pushing the pace with throwing lobs to the open man after the Cavs scored the ball. At one point, the Knicks had 12 fast break points. After a 1 of 4 start, Brunson started hitting shots and helped the Knicks extend their lead to a double-digit lead. From the start to the end of the first half, New York punished the Cavs with their pick and roll counter, which Clevelandd had zero answer for. You could see that New York was sending a message to the West because they went to a 25-10 sprint to finish the last six minutes of the half to have a 21-point lead.


The Knicks literally took the Cavs' heart in the second half with their three-point shooting, expanding the lead to 27. They went onto to sweep the Caves in dominating fashion, 130-93. Towns finished with 19
