Knicks celebrate their championship with a historic parade

After defeating the Spurs in five, New York players, fans, and the world started celebrating last weekend. After all of the fireworks exploded and voices faded during the sunrise, it was announced by the mayor that the Knicks were going to celebrate their championship on Thursday.

Welp, Thursday morning came by fast and fans woke up very early to attend the parade. At 8 am ET, New York Police Department had to shut down certain areas, because it was filled to capacity. Since a lot of fans were turned away from the parade, they stuck around and celebrate their team winning. After a 30-minute delay, the party of the champions started with Walt Fraiser and a bunch of Knicks alumni being at the front of the parade.

Each of players had their own unique float, making their way to the ceremony to accept the keys to the city. New York attendance was around 5M.
