The Tigers (21-2, 7-2 Southeastern Conference), who boast the nation's best scoring margin, reached 100 points in a league game for the first time this season while handing the Crimson Tide (19-4, 5-4) their most lopsided loss of the year. LSU's dominance was evident as they controlled the game's tempo, closing the first, second, and third quarters with decisive runs of 7-2, 10-4, and 11-1.

ZaKiyah Johnson contributed 15 points and 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season, while Mikaylah Williams added 15 points, and MiLaysia Fulwiley chipped in 10 for LSU. Jessica Timmons led Alabama with 15 points.

Richard, who tallied 6 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists in the opening quarter, capped the Tigers' closing burst with a 3-pointer and an assist. Mikaylah Williams scored 9 of LSU's final 10 points in the last 2:07 of the second quarter, stretching the lead to 20 points by halftime.

Alabama struggled to counter LSU's relentless inside play from reserves ZaKiyah Johnson and Amiya Joyner, who combined for 18 points and 7 rebounds in the first half. In the third quarter, LSU intensified their defense, blocking six of Alabama's 19 field goal attempts, including the Crimson Tide's last four shots. This defensive effort highlighted LSU's ability to disrupt Alabama's offensive rhythm throughout the game.
