Here are the nominations for the 2021 VMA's

MTV unveiled the nominations for the 2021 “VMAs”, highlighting artists who worked tirelessly over the past year to deliver creative masterpieces to the masses.




The categories include Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, Push Performance of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Pop, Best Hip Hop, Best Rock, Best Alternative, Best Latin, Best R&B, Best K-Pop, Video for Good, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, Best Visual Effects, Best Choreography, and Best Editing.



Justin Bieber (7) leads this year’s list of nominees, followed closely by Megan Thee Stallion (6)

with Billie Eilish, BTS, Doja Cat, Drake, Giveon, Lil Nas X and first-time nominee Olivia Rodrigo earning (5) nods apiece.



Bieber’s nominations include Video of the Year: “POPSTAR” (Starring Justin Bieber), Artist of the Year, Best Pop for “Peaches”, Best Collaboration for “Peaches”, Best Direction for “POPSTAR” (Starring Justin Bieber), Best Cinematography for “Holy”, and Best Editing for “Peaches”.



Megan Thee Stallion and Card B’s “WAP” has generated nominations for both artists in the categories of Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, and Best Hip-Hop. Megan also has nominations for Artist of the Year, and another nomination Best Hip-Hop for “On Me (The Remix)”. Beyoncé has three nominations, one for Best R&B, and Best Cinematography for “BROWN SKIN GIRL”, and Best Art Direction for “ALREADY”


Fans can vote for their favorites across 14 gender-neutral categories by visiting vma.mtv.com through Friday, September 3, 2021.


The “VMAs” return to New York City airing LIVE from Barclays Center on Sunday, September 12 at 8pm ET.
