Having two players on the 10-player WBCA All-America Team is a first in program history for South Carolina women's basketball. Raven Johnson and Joyce Edwards earn the honors. Ta'Niya Latson is the third Gamecock to receive honorable mention status in program history.

This accomplishment highlights the exceptional talent and dedication to work of the South Carolina women's basketball program. It underscores the team's growing reputation on the national stage and serves as inspiration for future recruits. The recognition of multiple players also reflects on the strength and depth of the team, showcasing their ability to compete at the highest level.

In her career, Johnson has led South Carolina to the Final Four every year, earning her first All-America honor this season. Johnson's leadership qualities extend beyond her impressive statistics. She is known for her ability to rally her teammates and maintain composure under pressure, often serving as a calming presence on the court. Her dedication and work ethic set a standard for excellence, inspiring her teammates to elevate their own performances.

It marks Edwards' third consecutive All-America season. Edwards' impact on team dynamics extends beyond her scoring prowess. Her ability to consistently deliver under pressure makes her a reliable go-to player for her teammates. Her presence on the court demands attention from her opponents, often freeing up her teammates for better scoring opportunities. Her positive attitude and relentless energy motivate the entire team to perform at their highest level.

No. 4/4 South Carolina advanced to its eighth overall and sixth-consecutive NCAA Final Four, and will face No. 1/1 UConn on Fri., April 3, at 7 p.m. ET
