Dodgers score five runs in extra innings to defeat the Padres 11-6

Los Angeles- Dodgers defeated the San Diego Padres 11-6 in extra innings.


In the ninth inning, both teams were tied up up at six apiece, so they had to play extra innings. The Dodgers had a couple of chances in the 10th and 11th inning to potential get runners on bases to score, but the Padres did a good job with getting themselves out of trouble. Tension and intensity was running high and it seemed like some of the Dodgers were getting frustrated with not being able to finish the Padres early on.


However, the Dodgers' luck turned around in the 12th, as Corey Seager blasted a home run out to put his team in the lead. A couple of Dodgers scored on a miss handle by the Padres, which brought in a couple of runs. After the post celebration some of the players were tired, but could not wait for the next day to play the Padres.


“Neither team wanted to lose that game,” said Dodgers pitcher David Price, who pitched the last two innings to pull our the win.This is a good rivalry, a fun rivalry to be a part of with a ton of really good players. I’m looking forward to tomorrow.”


“Tonight felt like a rivalry,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said.
