Dodgers' offense gets in slump, as they dropped their game against the Phillies 2-0

Los Angeles- the Dodgers pitching rotation couldn’t find the Phillies weak spots, which led them to dropping the game 2-0.

For the Dodgers, Clayton Kershaw allowed two runs, eight hits and one home run in six innings pitched. With this loss Kershaw moves to 8-6 for the season. This was the first time Los Angeles had been shut out since September, 14, 2019. According to Kershaw, the Phillies were having a day at the plate. "The at-bat quality for those guys was really good, so you have to give them a lot of credit, they made me grind. They got my pitch count up, they fouled off a lot of pitches. Overall, I thought I had decent stuff." Kershaw said.

To the Dodgers defense, they were missing Corey Seager, Max Muncy, and Cody Bellinger in the line-up, due to injuries they sustained a couple weeks ago They have only lost two out of their last nine games. Hitting performance of the day for the Dodgers would be Shortstop Gavin Lux. He went 2 out of 3 at the plate with two singles and one strikeout. Besides Lux, most players did not reach first base.

The timetable for Seager, Muncy, and Bellinger to return in the line-up remains up in the air. The next game for LA will begin a three-game series at Arizona against the 20-49 Diamondbacks on Friday. Look for the Dodgers to bounce back and come out strong.
