Clemson stomps UNC in ACC Championship game

The Tigers took care of business against Carolina. After two drives starting QB DJ Uiagalelei, DJ was benched and former five-star recruit, freshman Cade Klubnik, who came in after their second series of the game after trailing, 7-0.

Asked in the post-game press conference about the decision changing QB's early on coach Swinney said this "We knew we were going to put him in the third or fourth series," Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said. "He went in and never came out.

With Cade coming in the first 3 drives of his play resulted in td’s. At half time UNC coach Brown was asked what was going on with Carolina and he said that they had game planned around DJ Uiagalelei, not Cade. UNC never recovered. I knew something was up when I asked my question yesterday. But Mafah had a great game too. He ended up having his fourth rushing td.

Cade Klubnik: 7-7 for 127 yards, 1 passing TD, 1 rushing TD. Clemson up 21-7 looking like Trevor Lawrence was still there.

Maye completed 26 of 42 for 268 yards and a first-quarter rushing touchdown but threw a pivotal pick midway through the third quarter – returned 98 yards by Clemson's Nate Wiggins – that put the Tigers ahead 32-10 before a 39-10 final score at Bank of America Stadium. There were some pentalities that were not called, which changed the direction of the game.

Now in college football when a 5 -yd penalty is assessed there is the option of the 10 sec runoff. Why was this not enforced against Clemson. I may be wrong, but I would not see a College Coach giving that up when the opposing team is in field goal position. The Tigers got the field goal. UNC also had a pivotal field goal blocked by Wiggins. UNC could never recover, which resulted in a 39-10 defeat
