ASU Flips the Script: Jake Fette Catches a Touchdown as Sun Devils Beat Colorado 20–10
TEMPE, Ariz. — The quarterback caught a touchdown. The defense protected the advantage. And Arizona State gave Colorado too little room to recover.

The Sun Devils’ 20–10 victory Saturday showcased Kenny Dillingham’s creativity and freshman quarterback Jake Fette’s growing role.
After Fette connected with Miller for 33 yards, Cardae Mack reached into his high school quarterback background and delivered a touchdown pass to Fette. The reversal put Arizona State ahead 9–0. Fette later found Reed Harris for a 34-yard touchdown, helping build a 17–0 halftime lead.
ASU’s defense kept Colorado scoreless through two quarters, and Stamp intercepted Isaac Wilson in the third. The Buffaloes finally broke through on Elliott Arnold’s 39-yard field goal.
When Colorado needed another stop, Fette and Harris connected for 58 yards. Carson Smith’s ensuing 21-yard field goal extended the lead to 20–3.
Wilson’s late touchdown pass to Williams narrowed the margin but could not erase Arizona State’s earlier work. The Sun Devils supplied the creativity early and enough execution late to finish.
