A'ja Wilson earned her fourth MVP award, solidifying her place as one of the greatest players in WNBA history. She previously won the award in 2020, 2022, and last season, becoming the first player to achieve this milestone. Wilson now stands alone in WNBA history with this unprecedented achievement, joining Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie, and Lauren Jackson as three-time winners but surpassing them with her fourth win.
After a challenging first half of the season, Wilson led the Aces to a remarkable turnaround. Following an 11-11 record at the All-Star break, the Aces finished the regular season with a 19-3 record, securing the No. 2 seed in the 2025 WNBA Playoffs. During this stretch, Wilson averaged 26.1 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.3 blocks, and 1.6 steals per game, while shooting an impressive 52.7 percent from the field, 59.3 percent from three-point range, and 88.9 percent from the free throw line.
Other finalists for the award included Napheesa Collier, Alyssa Thomas, Kelsey Mitchell, and Allisha Gray. Wilson's consistent excellence and leadership on the court have cemented her legacy as one of the most dominant players in the league.
