4th annual Pride Night hosted by Los Angeles Lakers coming October 12th

Los Angeles will host the Minnesota Timberwolves at the newly names celebrating diversity, equality, inclusion and unity by hosting several members and supporters of the LGBTQ+ community October. 12th.

Each fan in attendance will receive a commemorative Lakers Pride jersey including an in-game entertainment that the Lakers are very excited and proud to announce. Several members of multiple LGBTQ+ organizations will be recognized including LAMBDA Basketball, Rainbow Labs and the Sports Equality Foundation. A significant contributor to the LGBTQ+ community will be awarded the ‘Laces of Unity’ award to Gus Kenworthy. Not only a two-time Olympic medalist and actor, Gus continues to be a major trailblazer in the sports community by being an activist.

One thing that the Lakers fan base always does is interacting on social media. The Los Angeles Lakers are encouraging Lakers Nation to use the hash tag #LAKERSPRIDENIGHT throughout the October 12 game to show full support for the event and the LGBTQ+ community.
