WWE is set to spotlight its deep connection to American pop culture and entertainment history with the debut of WWE: Made in America, a one-hour documentary special premiering Friday, May 29 at 11 p.m. ET on  USA Network immediately following WWE SmackDown.

The special is part of USA Network’s broader America 250 celebration commemorating the United States’ 250th anniversary. According to WWE and USA Network, the documentary explores the company’s transformation from a regional wrestling territory into a worldwide entertainment powerhouse while examining how WWE evolved alongside American culture over the last five decades.

The documentary will feature exclusive interviews with some of the biggest names in wrestling history and today’s generation of stars, including Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Cody Rhodes, The Undertaker, Booker T, Sgt. Slaughter, Kane, Matt Cardona, Carmelo Hayes, Nattie, Je’Von Evans and longtime ring announcer Lilian Garcia. National correspondent Erielle Reshef also appears in the special.

In addition to newly filmed interviews, WWE: Made in America will showcase rarely seen archival footage from WWE’s extensive video library. The program traces the rise of patriotic WWE icons from the 1980s and connects them to modern stars carrying the company into a new era.

The special is hosted by Joe Tessitore and includes a special performance of “America the Beautiful” by Lilian Garcia filmed in Nashville.

Behind the scenes, the documentary is executive produced by Paul Levesque alongside Lee Fitting and Ben Houser. Matt Braine directs the project, while Brian Decker and Marc Pomarico serve as co-executive producers.

The premiere comes during a major period of growth and visibility for WWE under the TKO Group umbrella, with SmackDown continuing its run on USA Network and WWE programming expanding across streaming and television platforms worldwide.

Fans who miss the initial airing will have several opportunities to catch the documentary, as USA Network plans encore presentations throughout June and again on July 4.
