UFC 281 is set to have a great card for fans to enjoy

Fans can expect a stacked card at UFC 281 with three featured bouts between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira. There should be fireworks. Weili Zhang vs. Carla Esparza and Dustin Poirier vs. Michael Chandler. Also, you got Dan Hooker vs. Claudio Puelles and Frankie Edgar's last fight, and he will be facing off against Chris Gutierrez.

For those of you that don’t know, Izzy was beaten twice by Pereira in professional kickboxing, being knocked out and also beaten by unanimous decision. This fight means a lot to both competitors. If Pereira wins, this will be his first UFC title, 7 fights into his professional MMA career. If Stylebender wins, it will be revenge for his two losses against Pereira from the past. Some say this will be Adesanya's biggest test as Pereira provides the length and size to pressure Izzy with and create a lot of problems. Who will walk out of UFC 281 as the Middleweight Champion of the World?

Carla Esparza beat Rose Namajunas by decision at UFC 274 back in May to become the women’s strawweight champion of the world. Esparza landed 30/133 total strikes, and they were all counted as significant strikes. She was also 2/11 for takedowns. Rose was 38/137 total strikes, 37 of which were counted as significant, and was 1/1 on the takedowns. Many believe it wasn’t enough for Esparza to take the belt off of the champion, Thug Rose. With that being said, here we are for Esparza's first title defense against the dangerous Weili Zhang. This fight should be an interesting one. Will Weili Zhang once again become champion, or will Esparza shock the world in a fight where she’s a huge underdog.

Now we get to another rivalry that has been heating up since the day Micheal Chandler got to the UFC. Chandler was a dominant champion in Bellator and came knocking down the UFC's door when he became a free agent back in 2020. He started his UFC career as a back-up fighter for the UFC Lightweight title fight between Khabib and Justin Gaethje. That didn’t make too many friends because that division felt he was skipping the line. Dan Hooker was the first fight of Chandler's UFC career and that didn’t last long as Chandler put him to sleep in the first round. That led to Chandler getting a title shot, where he fell short against Charles Oliveira. The Diamond went on to lose a war to Gaethje and won a fight against Tony Ferguson, which led to this long awaited matchup with The Diamond. They got into a big crowd scuffle at UFC 276 where Poirier had a lot to say to Chandler's face. Both of these guys are warriors and willing to go to war, and just like every other Michael Chandler and Dustin Poirier fight, this will be a very fun fight.

This card has a lot of great fights and should have a fun night in store for the fans watching all around the world. This should be a great all-around card, finishing off with three absolute bangers.
