Thrilling finish in Los Angeles; Dolphins survive victory over Chargers 36 to 34


In what was a playoff atmosphere in game 1, SoFi Stadium hosted two teams that are contenders in the AFC. The Miami Dolphins outlasted the Los Angeles Chargers until the very end to capture the win 36 to 34.


Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw for 466 passing yards for 3 touchdowns. His timely strike to wide receiver Tyreek Hill proved to be the game winner. Hill topped all wide receiver numbers for week 1 accumulating 215 total yards and 2 touchdowns. The Chargers had an efficient jolt from the quarterback position Justin Herbert passing for 23 of 33 completions for 228 passing yards and 1 touchdown thrown. Los Angeles’ defense allowed a total of 536 yards but created 2 turnovers. Los Angeles Chargers travel to Tennessee to face the Titans in Week 2 while the Dolphins play in New England for a showdown on Sunday Night Football
