The Storm stomps past Liberty, 105-64

Bradenton, FL- The Seattle Storm continues their winning streak, as they beat the New York Liberty, 105-64.

Collectively, the Storm won this game as a team. The Storm had six players in double figures and all were shooting the ball around 45% from the field. The bench production for Seattle was off the charts, as they scored 49 points to put the game out of harms' way. “Our bench is very mature, and has always been ready to step up if need be,” said Jewell Loyd. “We’re lucky we have a solid core group to get it going and then we have players off the bench that can sustain it.”

The Storm are making the wins look easy and the 11-1 start is a franchise record. “I like the way we’re playing, we’re playing with a lot of confidence, we’re really sharing the ball on the offensive end and shooting the ball with a lot of confidence,” head coach Gary Kloppenburg said. “We want to keep that going, and I like the way we’re pushing the pace, we’re getting a lot of good, easy baskets, and our defense is forcing some turnovers and getting some easy baskets.”

Breanna Stewart finished the game with 14 points, 1 assist, and 6 rebounds. Sue Bird finished with 10 points and 7 assists.
