The Lakers hold off a Rockets second half comeback to even the series at one apiece, 117-109

Orlando- The Los Angeles Lakers won a tough battle against the Houston Rockets in Game 2 to even the series.



Markieff Morris was having himself a night, as he came out the gate sizzling in the first half. Morris was hitting from behind the arc, dishing out on the money passes to his teammates, and making life difficult for Russell Westbrook and the Rockets. Morris was one of the key players that put the Lakers up in double digits and started a 15-7 run. Outside of Morris, Anthony Davis provided a spark for the Lakers, as he was very aggressive getting into the paint and shooting over the shorter defender. Davis finished the half with 18 points, 3 points, and 7 rebounds. The Lakers had a 67-51 lead at the break.


At the start of the second half, the Rockets went on a 17-6 run to cut the Lakers' lead to three. The Rockets got hot from behind the arch and made 13 shots from three point land to take the lead at the end of the third quarter. Houston outscored the Lakers 41-23 in the quarter. In the fourth quarter the Lakers went on a 15-5 run to take the lead and never looked back.


LeBron James finished the game with 28 points, 9 assists, and 11 rebounds. Davis finishes the game with 34 points, 4 assists, and 10 rebounds. Morris finished the game with 16 points and 5 rebounds.
