Team USA looks out of sync, as they dropped their second exhibition game

Vegas- Team USA was outworked on the glass by Australia and dropped their second exhibition game, 91-83.

After a shocking and disappointing loss to Nigeria in their first exhibition game, Team USA wanted to avenge their loss by beating up on Australia. Draymond Green and Jerami Grant got the start to help Team USA speed up their offense, which helped out early on. Shots were falling for Kevin Durant, Grant, and Damian Lillard in the first half. Lillard was very aggressive using the high screen and roll to get into rhythm and dropped 11 points in the first quarter.

Despite the decent start, Team USA had trouble keeping Australia out the painted area in the second quarter. Patty Mills was putting pressure on Team USA's interior and made some nifty moves to score. Team USA went on a 12-4 run to stretch their lead to nine at the half. Lillard was the leading scorer at the half with 16 points.

In the second half, Team USA was bit careless with turning the ball over. Within the first three minutes of the third quarter, Team USA had four turnovers, which turned into seven points for Australia. After being up 10 early on, Team USA saw their lead disappear and was in a dog fight for the rest of the half. Heading into the fourth quarter Team USA was down 69-64

Bradley Beal gave Team USA some valuable minutes in the fourth, as he attacked Australia's 2-3 zone and put his team in position to get back into the game. With under three minutes left in regulation, Team USA started to lose their composure. Costly turnovers and miscommunication on Pick and Roll action had Coach Pop scratching his head. Team USA went onto lose their second consecutive exhibition game.
