Taylor Swift leads in VMA's nomination

Going into the upcoming VMA's, Taylor Swift continues to raise the bar as she has eight nods this year, while her peers are staring at six. Swift is nominated once again in the "Video of the Year" category, which would be her fourth time in that category. Last year, Swift became the only artist to win three times in the Video of the Year category and once again she may pull it off with winning her fourth award in that category.

Now, Swift maybe the artist that a lot of people are talking about, but for the first time in VMA history there are 35 first time nominees, which is a sign that new artists are doing thier thang. Let's check out what artist was nominated iin which category and do not forget that the VMA's will broadcast September 2 at 8 pm, ET.
