Sofia Carson and Noah Centineo Named Ambassadors for the 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards®

In an exciting announcement, Sofia Carson and Noah Centineo have been appointed as Ambassadors for the 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® (SAG Awards), set to stream live globally on Netflix on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.

The SAG Awards® have a tradition of selecting Ambassadors who exemplify the highest values of the acting profession, serving as positive role models for aspiring performers. As Ambassadors, Carson and Centineo will provide exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the ceremony, participate in select pre-show events, and promote the SAG-AFTRA Foundation and its initiatives, including the Disaster Relief Fund. Previous Ambassadors have included notable figures like Yara Shahidi, Joey King, and Jurnee Smollett.


Sofia Carson: A Multifaceted Talent

Sofia Carson is an award-winning actor, singer, and producer known for her dynamic contributions to film and music. She gained global acclaim for her lead role in the Netflix sensation "Purple Hearts," where she also served as an executive producer and co-writer of the film's original soundtrack, one of the most streamed in Netflix history. Recently, she starred in the thriller “Carry-On” alongside Taron Egerton and Jason Bateman.


Carson has achieved remarkable success with two of her films debuting at #1 on Netflix's Global Top 10 Films list. Her upcoming projects include the romantic comedy “The Life List,” slated for release on March 28, 2025, and "My Oxford Year," also coming later this year. Committed to philanthropy, Carson is a UNICEF Ambassador and was honored as the “Global Advocate of the Year” by UNCA for her impactful activism.


Noah Centineo: Rising Star and Producer

Noah Centineo has made a significant mark in Hollywood, particularly through the beloved Netflix trilogy “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.” He currently stars and serves as an executive producer for the Netflix series “The Recruit,” with its second season premiering on January 30, 2025. Centineo will also reprise his role in “XO, Kitty,” continuing his reign in the Netflix universe.

His upcoming film, A24’s “Warfare,” features an impressive cast, and he recently launched his production company, Arkhum Productions, focusing on projects that emphasize social commentary. Centineo's diverse filmography includes credits like "Black Adam" and "Charlie's Angels," showcasing his range as an actor.


Host and Honorees

This year’s SAG Awards will be hosted by the award-winning actress and producer Kristen Bell. Additionally, the legendary Jane Fonda will be honored with the Life Achievement Award, SAG-AFTRA’s highest accolade.

Production and Streaming

The 31st Annual SAG Awards, produced by Silent House Productions in collaboration with SAG-AFTRA, will stream live on Netflix from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall. Media interested in covering the event can apply to do so, with the deadline extended to January 24, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PT.
