Review on The Dropout

On Sunday we had the privilege of hitting up a day of the Disney FYC Fest at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood. If you don’t know about FYC Fest let me give you the background tea! Walt Disney Co. platforms (Disney Television Studios, FX, Hulu, Disney+ and ABC) joined together to invite Emmy voters to screen shows and listen to panels for consideration.

The shows set to screen are Abbott Elementary (WBTV, 20th TV, ABC), black-ish (ABC Sig & ABC), The Book of Boba Fett (Lucasfilm & Disney+), Dopesick (Hulu), The Great (Hulu), Women of Movement (ABC), What We Do In The Shadows (FX), Under the Banner of Heaven (FX), Reservation Dogs (FX), Pistol (FX), Pam and Tommy (Hulu), Only Murders in the Building (20th TV & Hulu), Moon Knight (Marvel Studios & Disney +), Live in Front of a Studio Audience (ABC), The Kardashians (Hulu), Impeachment: American Crime Story (20th TV and FX), and finally The Dropout (Hulu)!

Before the screening, I had never even heard of the show but oh how the tables turned. Watching the clips and getting background tea on the real story behind the show from the cast made me go home and binge immediately. I suggest you get into it ASAP! The Dropout spills the tea on the rise and fall of Elizabeth Holmes and her biotech company Theranos. Liz played no games making herself the youngest billionaire of her time but it got real when she was exposed as a fraud.

Y'all have to get into it. Check out the conversation below.
