Raiders get the W over the Jaguars in the Hall of Fame game 27-11

Canton- The Raiders thump the Jaguars in Hall of Fame game.

Finally, it is here! Football is back and everything is great again. Kicking off the Hall of Fame game were the Jaguars and the Raiders, in which majority of their first unit for both teams did not start. Prior to kickoff, there was a rain delay that kept everyone anxious and in their locker rooms until the rain calmed down a bit.

On their first drive on a very slick surface, the Raiders struck first blood with a 32-yard field goal by Daniel Carlson to go up 3-0 over the Jags. The running attack with Josh Jacobs and Zamir White on the Raiders next possession, proved to help the Raiders for another long boot by Carlson, which pushed the lead 6-0 mid-way in the first. After the Jags missed a 60-yard field goal, Las Vegas took it the distance. Ameer Abdullah hit the speed burst on a pitch to the outside for an eight-yard touchdown, which was the first touchdown of the night to go up 13-0.

Things just kept going wrong for the Jags, which made it easier for the Raiders to score another touchdown before half to make it a 20-0 affair. Jarrett Stidham ended the night 8 of 15 for 96 yards.

The second half was pretty much conservative, as both teams were inserting new players that were fighting for a spot on the roster. Las Vegas finished with a total of 320 yards.

.The Raiders went on to get their first victory of the preseason.
