Shohei Ohtani pitched five hitless innings and hit his 50th Home run of the season knotting the game at six before R Marchon hit a tie breaking, 3 run homer with two outs in the 9th inning off Blake Treinen with two outs in the 9th inning, resulting in a 9-6 victory. The Phillies erased a 4-0 deficit as the Dodger bullpen collapsed.
The Phillies are here to take care of business, and they stood tall even in adversity. Prior to the game, Max Kepler talked about their Monday night thrilling win -V- LAD and winning their division for the second consecutive year. He said, “It’s not everything we’re looking 2 do this year…we’re not done, we’re just getting started. It’s a step in the right direction.” It seems that Philly is on a mission, and Kepler’s words earlier today rang true tonight as the Phillies won again, taking down the World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers 9-6 in another thrilling victory.
