Phil Mickelson defined the odds with becoming the oldest golfer to win a major

New York- Phil Mickelson showed the world on Sunday that you can still achieve your goals even though you are getting older in life.

In a Cinderella type of story, Mickelson stole the hearts of America when he won the PGA Championship on Sunday. Coming into the tournament, Mickelson was not even the golfer that critics feared to win the championship. However, Mickelson played a great tournament and showed the world that no matter how old you are, you can still achieve your goals with perfecting your craft and sticking with it.

After the historical win, this was what Mickelson had to say about the tournament. "One of the moments I'll cherish my entire life,'' Mickelson said. "I don't know how to describe the feeling of excitement and fulfillment and accomplishment to do something of this magnitude when very few people thought that I could.''

The moral of the Mickelson ending is not giving up on yourself, despite what the world thinks of you. Mickelson played his game and did not let the outside noise get to him. He finished 1-over 73, which was two shots ahead of Brooks Koepka.
