Paige Bueckers goes to the Wings as the NO.1 overall pick

What a year for the former UConn Huskies in Paige Bueckers! First you knock out three top seeds teams to win a National Title and then you get drafted to the Dallas Wings as the overall NO:1draft pick for the 2025 Draft Class.

Last season, the Wings struggled to find another player that could help out Arikae Ogunbowale. It looked like Arika may wanted to potentially leave Dallas, but she stayed. In doing so, opened up the door for a crazy backcourt with Arika and Bueckers. Both players are two-way players and can get a bucket anytime that they would want to. Bueckers expressed her excitement with getting drafted by Dallas. "I am ready to start a new chapter. I heard great things about the city and want to give everything I have to the Wings organization. It will be a fresh start for the both of us and I am extremely grateful that they took their pick on me."
