Golden State takes down Atlanta in Game 1 of the WNBA Finals 68-64
Gabby Williams showcased her bag in a Game 1 victory over the Dream, scoring 26 points, after being held scoreless in the first half.

Coming into these finals, you knew that it was going to be a defensive showdown with a lot of blocks on the stat sheet as well as mini runs. Atltanta was the team that set the tone very early on. Angel Reese had put her fingerprints on the game, scoring 14 points and was a menace on the boards in the first half. Golden State made some adjustments in the second half and held Reese in scoreless and in-check on both sides of the floor.
Outside of their stiffing defense, Gabby freaking Williams went into her bag and started putting her tools together to get back into sync with Tiffany Hayes. From hitting middies to the long ball, GW was hard to stop. In the closing moments of the fourth, the Valk's put Rhyne Howard in the chain gain mixtape as they locked her up, forcing her to shoot an air ball to close out the game.
