Offensive struggle continues as Panthers drop 12th loss of season in New Orleans

A total of 54 points have been scored by the Panthers in the past 5 games.  If you are to break down by game, that is an average of 10.8 points, which is a touchdown and a field goal.  Sunday proved that it is not only a pattern, but it is a major concern for the Carolina Panthers.  Panther’s fans are left wondering what the future will hold for their offense and their franchise quarterback did not have a terrible game, but the weapons around him just could not make enough plays to get into the end zone.

Carolina quarterback Bryce Young threw for 137 yards completing 13 of 36 attempts, but no touchdowns and no interceptions.  Offensively, the Panthers did accumulate 303 total yards, which was a majority of rushing yards from running backs Chuba Hubbard and Miles Sanders.  The two turnovers came in the form of 2 fumbles lost.  The New Orleans Saints came into the game with a 5-7 record and needed a win to keep pace in a NFC South division that could have a three-way tie at the end of Week 14.

Just as things worked out, Tampa Bay defeated Atlanta, and the Saints put up 28 points to beat the Panthers 28 to 6.  New Orleans still continues to have an injury filled season at the quarterback position with Derek Carr showing signs of injury, but did come up with a victory and was efficient passing for 119 yards completing 18 of 26 passes with 2 touchdowns.  Carolina will host the Atlanta Falcons next Sunday while New Orleans hosts the New York Giants and attempts to keep pace for the NFC South division title.
