Nominations Announced for the 2024 Canadian Screen Awards

The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television announced the nominees for the 2024 Canadian Screen Awards.  The broadcast begins on May 31 at 8 p.m. on CBC and CBC Gem hosted by Mae Martin.  Original series ‘Little Bird’ leads both television and nominations at 19 including Best Drama Series, Best Lead Performer, Drama Series, and much more.  The CBC comedies ‘Sort of’ and ‘Workin’ Moms’ have 18 and 12 nominations trailing ‘Little Bird’. For the Film category, ‘BlackBerry’ has 17 top nominations.  Other leading films that have multiple nominations include ‘Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person’, ‘Infinity Pool’.  The nominees were chosen by voting members of the Canadian Academy and by nominating juries from film, television, and digital media industries.
