No More Talk: Let’s Fight

Today is the final day for all the talk surrounding the mega fight between Errol Spence and Terrence Crawford. Thursday being designated traditionally as press conference day for boxing, T-Mobile Arena and Showtime will be hosting this afternoon’s press conference. Today you will see all the participants on the card make their final case for why they believe they’ll be victorious Saturday night.

The events today will feature Issac Cruz, Giovanni Cabrera, Nonito Donaire, Alexandro Santiago, Yoennis Tellez, Sergio Garcia, as well as your main event competitors Terrence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. In all likelihood the trainers will steal the show, I don't expect much back and forth from Derrek James, but I do expect Brian “BoMack” Mcintyre to have some words for Spence and his camp.

The feel-good story on this card is the return of Nonito Donaire to the ring as he looks to regain his WBC bantamweight championship vs Alexandro Santiago. The two-decade professional has already turned in a hall of fame career. Perhaps like Crawford he wants to put the cherry on top before he calls it a career.

Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz looks to make a statement as he continues to chase a rematch with Gervonta Davis. Cruz faces 21-0 Giovanni Cabrera who is not known for his power but has won his last 4 out of 5 fights by unanimous decision. Should Cruz win he has a number of options in the lightweight division in the event he doesn’t get his rematch with Gervonta Davis.

What’s to be expected is an event full of insightful information, observations validated or debunked, and good old fashion smack talk. Tomorrow the fighters will meet for the final weigh-in and face off live on the Showtime Youtube channel this coming Friday at 3pm pacific standard time.
