New Covid-19 protocol for athletes participating in the Olympics will roll out later this week

Tokyo- Right now, there is a state of emergency for Tokyo, as well as other cities in Japan and the Olympic committee has decided to issue a new COVID-19 safety protocol this week.

As cases continue to increase, there have been many people around the globe concerned about the risks that athletes competing in the Olympic games will have to take in order to remain safe. With the new restrictions that will probably be enforced, athletes will be required to test daily, reduce the two-week quarantine to allow athletes to train, and stay within the "Bubble."

On Monday in a press conference, the Olympic committee announced that it was going to have over 500 nurses in attendance to make sure that everything runs smoothly. The IOC is trying to do everything in their power to make sure that athletes, as well as everyone involved in the Olympics are safe.
