Naomi Osaka stunned in Miami Open tournament

Miami, FL- Naomi Osaka, who was the favorite to win the Miami Open tournament was defeated by Maria Sakkari in the quarterfinals 6-0, 6-4.

Osaka, who dominates opponents with her spinning backhand could not find her range with her shots against Sakkari. Osaka had trouble chasing down Sakkari's heavy hitting crossshots and did not have the confidence once the game started. For the first time in a long while, Osaka looked confused with how to play Sakkari and it showed in the first set. Sakkari went on to win the first set 6-0.

Osaka turned it on in the second set and started to put a little pressure on Sakkari with some dropshots,as well as some tough backhand shots. However a couple of unforced errors helped Sakkari pull out a couple of games. Sakkari eventually went on to win 6-4 and shocked the world.
