The Los Angeles Dodgers entered Tuesday’s night's game against the New York Mets with a defensive mindset as Y. Yamamoto took the mound for the LA Dodgers in hopes of continuing their winning streak and adding another win to their league leading record.
The Mets had been struggling offensively over the last several games but immediately righted the ship as Francisco Lindor went yard on the third pitch of the game (402/RF) off Yamato, which put NY up 1-0.
The Metropolitan lead didn’t last long as the Dodgers tied the game at 1 in the first inning as Kyle Tucker scored on a Freddy Freeman ground out. The contest remained tied until the 8th inning when Tucker singled to left, which led Miguel Rojas scoring. That score led to a 2-1 victory for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
LAD can complete the sweep against the Mets, Wednesday night on MLB’s Jackie Robinson Day which celebrates Robinson breaking the MLB Color barrier on 4/15/1947.
