The LSU men's basketball team defeated Omaha 99-73 in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on November 21, 2025, The Tigers came out hot, going on a 10-0 run early in the first half. They continued pulling away from Omaha around midway through the first half with a score of 40-27. LSU kept their foot on the gas up to halftime of the game, with a halftime intermission score of 50-37.

As the second half began, LSU took control of Omaha with a 17 to 3 run, which pretty much put the game out of the way. The Tigers had five players in double figures. The leading scorer for LSU was Max Mackinnon with 22 total points. The second leading scorer was Dedan Thomas Jr., with 15 points. It was the Tigers' three-point shooting that really kept them ahead throughout the game. They shot over 45% from the three-point line, hitting 15of 33 shots from beyond the arc. Rashad King was perfect from three-point range, going 3 for 3.

This was LSU's fifth win in a row, while Omaha dropped to a subpar record of 2-4. Besides the Tigers’ scoring hot streak from three-point land, their defense helped keep the Omaha Mavericks from getting close to catching the Tigers. Some of the key defensive stats included rebounding and forced turnovers. LSU is looking to keep its undefeated season going as it continues to improve in all phases of the game, taking on its next opponent, Drake University Bulldogs, on Friday, November 28, at 8:30 p.m. in the Raider Arena.
