Kevin Harvick wins at Darlington

With under 16 laps and a chance to hold off Martin Truex Jr., Kevin Harvick had gotten a huge break when Chase Elliot and Truex bumped each other on Turn 1 and both cars crashed into the wall. Truex was trying to get passed Elliot and bumped him a bit, which caused the incident. “This Busch Beer Ford Mustang wasn’t where we wanted it to be, but the leaders got tangled up there and next thing you know we were racing for it,” Harvick said.

The win at Darlington puts Harvick in the next round of the playoffs. Harvick has dominated the season with eight wins and won the points title as well this season. His average finish this season is around 6.4 through 27 races. Harvick can tie Jeff Gordan's 30 top 10 finishes if he can finish in the top 10 with only eight races left. Despite, the uncanny season, Harvick has had one heck of a season.
