Jeffery Simmons receives the Week 12 NFLPA Community MVP.

Jeffery Simmons is an outstanding defensive end who plays for the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee drafted Simmons 19th overall back in 2019, and he hasn’t disappointed. The defensive end has played in every game this season, but that did not stop him from giving back to the Nashville community. Ahead of Thanksgiving, Simmons and his (GiveEmaReason) foundation donated at least 500 turkeys to families in the city of Nashville.

Simmons stated that he grew up watching his mother make countless sacrifices for him and his siblings, and he also stated that he knows that he is fortunate because God has blessed him with the ability to give back. Coach Vrabel granted Simmons permission to leave Tuesday’s walkthrough early so he could be on time for the event. Kroger is who Simmons has chosen to partner up with to make this giveaway possible. After the event, several non-profit organizations came together and gave away the remaining turkeys to less fortunate families that couldn’t make it to the event. Due to the great efforts of Simmons and others, he was awarded a $10,000 donation to any charity of his choice. This event should inspire his teammates and fellow athletes across the NFL to support any community they can!
