Jay-Z will be honored and awarded with The Gatekeeper of Truth Award

Los Angeles- During Harry Belafonte's 94 virtual birthday party, rapper and activist Sean Carter (Jay-Z) will be honored with the Gatekeeper of Truth Award Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.

Jay-Z is getting the Gatekeeper of Truth Award because of his support of organizers on the front lines during the pandemic, as well as his work in the community.

Belafonte's legacy will be honored by close family, family, athletes, activists and more individuals that cared about the impact he made on them,as well as his impact in the community. The virtual party will help Belafonte's non-profit organization The Gathering of Justice.

The Gathering of Justice's mission is to build a movement to end child incarceration while working to eliminate the racial inequities that permeate the justice system.
