In a Hulu exclusive due to be released on September 30th, a star-studded comedy will touchdown on our screens. The show’s premise is based on an Eli Manning comedy sketch produced by NFL Films and Omaha Productions and aired on ESPN+ in 2022. It follows the career of a disgraced quarterback, Russ Holliday played by Glen Powell.

In a bid to still achieve success in the NFL, Russ Holliday takes on a disguise to become a whole new character – Chad Powers. Chad arrives at a struggling Southern football team as the personable new quarterback and hot talent.

With a comedic take on the impact of bad publicity and playing up to the stereotypical cheerleader judgments, the teaser trailer is a thrilling glimpse into what is yet to come. From prosthetic make-up artistry to hilarious mascot input, this is one to watch.

Alongside Glen Powell (Twisters, 2024), we will see other big names including Steve Zahn, Perry Mattfield, Quentin Plair, Wynn Everett and Frankie A. Rodriguez.

The pilot episode was co-written by Powell and Michael Waldron and has a well-respected team of producers including Eli Manning, Omaha Productions’ Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown and ESPN. Waldron and Adam Fasullo will produce the show for Anomaly productions, Luvh Rakhe and Tony Yacenda will also be executive producers with Yacenda also directing.

The show promises comedy, football and a showcase of talent. It will stream weekly on Tuesdays on Hulu.
