With something to prove, Clemson football is closer to a 2026 season. A trio of experienced Tigers will represent the program at the ACC Kickoff next month.
Seniors Will Heldt, Olsen Patt-Henry and junior Sammy Brown will travel to Charlotte, North Carolina, in July to speak to the media on behalf of the Tigers in advance of next season. This is all three's first time going to the conference, which takes place at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown from July 15-17.
Dabo Swinney will speak first, followed by his players on July 16.
As a result of their honors within the ACC, Brown and Heldt are looking to build on last season's 7-6 record despite high expectations. Last season, Brown was named First Team All-ACC for the first time in his career as a starter. As for Heldt, he was the star transfer of last season, earning a spot on the Third Team of the ACC.
Additionally, Patt-Henry will be a key returner for the offense this year. It was evident in the run game that he was a strong blocker despite having only 16 receptions for 126 yards during his junior year.
The team aims to improve their record and make a strong bid for the ACC Championship. They are focused on enhancing their offensive strategies and solidifying their defense to compete at a higher level. The players and coaching staff are determined to demonstrate their growth and resilience as they enter the 2026 season.
