Handy Foundation is building a legacy behind the lens with diversity

Los Angeles- On Sunday, actor Hill Harper talked about the Handy Foundation and the purpose of diversifying film behind the lens.

Prior to the virtual gala, members of the Handy Foundation talked about the foundation and how it has given many people of color opportunities to work behind the scenes. There has been a huge problem in Hollywood with not giving other cultures room to pursue their dreams behind the lens. The Handy Foundation helps people find their voice to tell unique stories, as well as uniting the culture.

In an interview with members of the Handy Foundation, each of them talked about the purpose of the foundation, their struggles and obstacles that they had to endure with being in the industry, and gave advice to people who are uneasy with telling an uncomfortable story or taking the leap of faith to pursue their dreams.
